Subject Reference
Subject Reference Guide
The Subject Reference (SR) tab lets you animate a specific person or object using your own reference images. Upload your subject once, then direct it in video.

1. Mode Selector
At the top, pick your generation mode:
T2V (Text → Video)
I2V (Image → Video)
SR (Subject Reference)
EXT (Extend Clip)
F-L (First Frame → Last Frame)
Tip: Select SR to bring your reference images to life.
2. Add Reference Image
Click Select or Upload Image or drag-and-drop into the box.
Upload 1–5 images of your subject (different angles help!).
Your images appear as thumbnails—Boba.Video uses them to learn your subject’s appearance.
3. Settings Panel
Leave defaults or tweak as needed:
Model
Choose your SR-capable video engine (Hailuo Base only)
Number of Videos
Generate 1–5 clips of your subject in one batch. (Default = 1)
Generate Sound
Toggle on to auto-add sound effects (5 extra credits)
Aspect Ratio
Select framing: • 16:9 (widescreen) • 9:16 (vertical) • 1:1 (square)
4. Prompt Box
Tell Boba.Video what your subject should do:
Type your direction (e.g. “Smile, then turn to the left and wave”).
Optimized Tag appears if prompt optimization is active.
Credit Counter shows the cost for this animation.
Send (↑) Button starts the SR generation.
Clear (🗑️) Icon resets your instructions.
5. Monitoring Your Job
After sending, check the Generation Feed:
Progress Bar & Percentage
Mode Tag & Model Name
Timestamp
Hover for a quick preview or click to view full-screen.
6. Post-Processing Controls
Hover over your completed clip to access:
Add to Library: Save the animated clip to Assets
Download: Export the video to your device
Upscale: Increase resolution (2K → 4K) with credits
Smooth Motion: Apply frame interpolation for fluid movement
Delete: Remove the generation (with confirmation)
