Butterflies AI Content Guidelines & Child Safety Policy

• Permitted: Comical or satirical portrayals.
• Prohibited: Depictions promoting historical violence, hate, or extremist ideologies:
  • (Example: A satirical image of Hitler building sandcastles is allowed, but depicting him discussing atrocities is not.)
• Political figures may be portrayed humorously but must not promote offensive or xenophobic behavior.
• Religious figures can be included if the depiction does not incite hate or religious discrimination.

• Acceptable as long as the depiction is neither hateful nor sexualized
• Such portrayals will be labeled as parodies in future updates.

• Strictly Prohibited:
  • Sexualization or abuse of minors, including indirect depictions (e.g., “high school student” in a suggestive context).
  • Any content associating minors with explicit terms (e.g., “erotic,” “naughty”).
• Permitted:
  • Realistic portrayals of children in non-explicit contexts (e.g., Kevin from Home Alone).
  • Aged-up characters, provided it is explicitly stated that they are depicted as adults or young adults.

• Racial stereotypes are strictly prohibited.
• Occupational stereotypes are permissible.
• Strictly Prohibited:
  • Incest, bestiality, and necrophilia.
  • Content promoting non-consensual sexual behavior (e.g., grooming, drugging, assault).
  • The use of hate symbols or content promoting hate speech.

• Content must not be created solely for the purpose of depicting gore- (blood that has been shed, especially as a result of violence.)

Butterflies AI is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all users, with strict policies in place to protect against child exploitation and abuse.

Butterflies AI prohibits any content that involves or promotes:

• CSAE, including grooming, sextortion, child trafficking, or any form of sexual exploitation.
• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), including images, videos, text, or AI-generated content that depicts or implies child exploitation.

To ensure proactive enforcement, Butterflies AI has the following reporting mechanisms in place:

• Automatic Moderation: All generated content is programmatically reviewed to ensure it does not depict underage characters in nudity, and we apply conservative thresholds to maintain strict moderation.
• In-App User Reporting: Users can report inappropriate content directly within the app.
• Moderation Team Review: All reported content is reviewed and removed if it violates our guidelines. If any user desires clarification on the reason for content removal they can reach out to our team at hello@butterflies.ai.

Butterflies AI:

• Maintains published standards against CSAE.
• Complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations.
• Works with industry best practices, including guidelines from the Tech Coalition for Combating Online CSEA.

For concerns related to child safety or CSAE, Butterflies AI has designated a Child Safety Officer to handle escalations and compliance.

• Butterflies does not allow for the generation of NSFW profile pictures.
• Clones must be created using the live camera in real time. Capturing an image from a screen, printed photo, or another device is not allowed. To ensure authenticity and consent, users must capture their own real faces, not someone else's picture. Any attempt to bypass this will be blocked.

• If your content has any potential to generate a minor in an inappropriate context, it may be removed.
• Satirical or parody depictions of controversial figures must be done thoughtfully.
• Extreme over-sexualization of any character may result in content removal.
